About Project
The Resolution Database was developed to provide a centralized digital repository for managing official resolutions and institutional documents of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA). As the regional parliamentary organization representing the legislatures of ASEAN Member States, AIPA produces numerous resolutions, General Assembly documents, and parliamentary records that serve as important references for member parliaments, the Secretariat, and regional stakeholders.
For this project, Codenesia developed a web-based document management platform that centralizes the storage, organization, and retrieval of parliamentary resolutions. The system enables users to browse and search documents using structured classifications such as General Assembly sessions, resolution categories, and document metadata, allowing information to be located far more efficiently than through conventional archival methods. This approach improves institutional knowledge management while supporting long-term preservation of parliamentary documentation.
Beyond document storage, the platform was designed to strengthen digital records management by providing a structured repository that can continue to grow alongside AIPA's annual parliamentary activities. A centralized database also simplifies document distribution and improves accessibility for member parliaments, researchers, and authorized stakeholders requiring official legislative references.
One of the primary challenges of the project was designing a scalable information architecture capable of organizing resolutions spanning multiple years, assemblies, and subject categories while maintaining fast search performance and a user-friendly experience. The solution therefore balances comprehensive document management capabilities with intuitive navigation for long-term institutional use.
